Pittsburgh Hockey Academy and Frozen Pond Arena are proud to continue their partnership with International Dryland Academy.

It is very important to PHA and FPA that we partner with a group that has extensive experience in dryland training as well as extensive  playing and coaching experience.  We believe this experience will provide the optimum training for our youth hockey players.

IDA will provide in-season dryland training for the PHA Icemen teams.

IDA will also offer off season dryland training options for all players both inside and outside of PHA Icemen teams.

INTERNATIONAL DRYLAND ACADEMY OFF ICE MODEL

  • Physical Evaluation / Corrective Exercises
    • Athletes will be evaluated and given corrective exercises to help balance their body.
  • Strength, Power & Dynamic Movements
    • Once the athletes musculature system is better balanced and more mobile, we can start to develop more muscle mass and introduce compound exercises.
  • Speed, Plyometrics, & Advanced Hockey Skills
    • With a stronger frame we now have a platform from which we can start to build explosive speed.  We also introduce more challenging movements, at increased speeds, and under duress to build agility and hand/eye coordination.
